iGB L!VE Stand Builders: ExCeL Logistics, the iGaming Crowd, and What Wins Partnerships
iGB L!VE is the leading international event for the iGaming industry, held each July at ExCeL London as the centrepiece of London iGaming Week. Organised by Clarion Gaming, it brings around 15,000 operators, affiliates, technology vendors, game providers and suppliers together to forge the partnerships that drive the sector — commercial, fast-moving and relationship-led.
The iGaming crowd expects presence and energy: brands here go big, and a timid stand gets lost. But behind the bold front, the business is done in meetings and over hospitality, so the real brief is to combine standout visibility with serious space to demo platforms, host partners and close deals. The stands that win do both — they're impossible to miss and built to do business.
We design for that balance: a stand that commands attention on a busy floor and then quietly delivers the meeting, demo and hospitality space where the partnerships actually happen.
For an operator, affiliate or supplier that means a stand that has to be impossible to miss and quietly effective at the same time — loud enough to compete for attention, organised enough behind the front to host a full schedule of partner meetings. The brands that win here invest in both halves, not just the spectacle.
Building at ExCeL London: the rules that shape your stand
ExCeL is a pillar-free hall with around 10m of clear internal height, but your stand does not get all of it. For space-only stands the working height limit at most ExCeL shows is 6m, and anything ExCeL classes as a complex structure — double-deckers, heavy suspended elements, long unsupported spans — triggers a formal sign-off you need to budget time for, not just money.
Complex designs must be submitted with engineering calculations applying a minimum factor of safety of 1.5. An independent structural engineer reviews the drawings and, if satisfied, issues a Certificate of Structural Adequacy at design stage, which releases your Certificate to Build; the same engineer inspects the stand on site during build-up before you can open. Miss a calculation or submit late and you do not build.
Overhead rigging is controlled tightly: all primary rigging to the ceiling is installed exclusively by ExCeL's own team, ordered through ExCeL's webshop and confirmed around 28 days before tenancy for the advance rate. Lightweight static items hang from drop wires up to 50kg; heavier loads are separate, costlier orders.
The smaller rules catch people out too: platforms above 170mm need ramped, accessible access; solid walls along an open gangway edge are generally not allowed; only water-based paint may be used on site; and every structure must be fully self-supporting. We design to all of this from the first sketch and submit the venue paperwork, so the build you approve is the build that opens.
What a winning iGB L!VE stand needs
Visibility comes first. We design a bold, well-lit, high-impact brand presence — strong overhead branding and a confident structure — so you're seen across a large, busy hall full of ambitious competitors. But impact alone doesn't close deals, so behind the front we build the working parts: clean demo points to show your platform or games, comfortable meeting settings to host operators and partners, and often a hospitality or bar area, because a lot of iGaming business is relationship-led and done over a drink.
We design the flow so the spectacle pulls people in and the meeting and hospitality space turns that attention into booked, seated conversations rather than a crowd that admires the stand and drifts on.
Designing for deals, demos and networking
The valuable outcomes here are partnerships and contracts, so we design the stand to host them: enough meeting settings for your peak, a quieter space for the senior or confidential commercial conversation, and demo stations where your technology runs reliably in front of a prospect. For exhibitors hosting clients into the evening or across London iGaming Week, a proper hospitality area earns its place.
Reliable power and connectivity for live platform demos are scoped with headroom and designed in early, because a demo that stutters in this competitive, tech-literate crowd undercuts the very capability you're selling.
And because so much iGaming business carries into the evening across London iGaming Week, a stand that can host clients comfortably on the day sets up the conversations that close later that night.
What an iGB L!VE stand costs
A turnkey stand typically runs roughly £3,950–£12,500 for a compact custom build, £12,500–£28,000 for a mid-size build with demo, meeting and some hospitality space, and £28,000 and up — often well up — for the large, high-impact island builds this show is known for. The quote is turnkey — design, build, AV and overhead branding, lighting, rigging, delivery to ExCeL, install, dismantle and the venue paperwork are all included — and structure, rigging, AV and hospitality fit-out move the number most.
Because presence matters at iGB L!VE, more of the budget goes on impact and hospitality than at a quieter B2B show — but we make sure it still buys working meeting and demo space, not just spectacle.
What you don't pay extra for is still accounted for in the turnkey figure — material handling, electrical, rigging — so even on a big, complex island the surprises are minimised and your spend goes where you intended.
Stand sizes and layouts
Stands range from compact spaces for newer suppliers and affiliates up to large, statement islands for major operators and platforms — ExCeL's 6m space-only height and rigging make a tall, high-impact structure viable where the budget allows. The layout balances bold visibility with the meeting, demo and hospitality space behind, so we separate the loud, busy front from the calmer space where deals are discussed.
Open island positions suit this show, because a big iGaming brand wants to be seen and approached from every aisle.
Whatever the footprint, we protect the meeting and hospitality space behind the spectacle, because a stand that's all impact and no room to do business wins attention but loses the deal.
Getting into ExCeL: build-up timing
iGB L!VE sits in a busy July slot at ExCeL during London iGaming Week, and the large, rigging-heavy island stands this show is known for need early planning. We confirm your space-only window, book rigging and power at the advance rate (around 28 days out), prepare any structural sign-off for a tall or double-deck build in-house, and crate to a slot that lands the stand finished, tested and ready to open with impact.
Big builds reward a planned, slotted delivery: we schedule it so a complex island isn't caught in the marshalling queue and loses build time it can't spare.
Reusing your stand between editions
iGaming brands exhibit at iGB L!VE every year, so a modular, reusable core is sound economics even for a high-impact stand. We store the structure, refresh the branding, games and demo configuration for each edition, and keep your rigging orders and any structural sign-off on file — so a returning statement stand doesn't restart the approvals and design process from scratch, and can scale as your presence grows.
